Get Prequalified
Before you start touring homes, you should get prequailified from a reputable lender. You want to make sure that you are looking at homes in the price ranges that you can afford. Even though it might not seem like a big deal, finding a loan officer and getting prequalified is the first step into looking for and buying a home. When you find a home you like and submit an offer, most of the time the sellers and listing agent want to see a letter stating that you are prequalified from a lender.
Finding out how much you can afford and how much your payments will be is also very important. You want to make sure that you are looking at what you can afford. Happy house hunting!
